A young, technical and results/output driven individual with the credentials, understanding, scientific and technical knowledge of the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. With the ability to transfer knowledge with confidence to audiences. Having an in-depth understanding of the regulatory compliance requirements, international and national standards, and legislation issues regarding the key aspects of the food value chain. Technical know-how of the essential principles of Food safety management system ISO 22000, Global GAP standard, the HACCP system also trainer in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) in the horticultural, cereals and pulses, Fish and fish products value chain.
A member of EAC Quality Champion under the Markup Project which aims to help SME’s in improvement of their process and access to the export market. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with team working capabilities with outstanding leadership skills. Farm assurer in fruits and vegetable sub scope and Lead Auditor/Assessor in Management Systems Certification (ISO 22000, ISO 17025). I am involved in teaching undergraduate students, conducting research and consultancy on various aspects of Food Science and technology. Currently I am leading a project funded by Sokoine University of entitled “Potentials of Sodium chloride and Bicarbonate of soda in reducing pesticide residues on tomatoes in Morogoro, Tanzania”.
