BIOGRAPHY

Avitus Titus received the BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dar es salaam, Dar es salaam, Tanzania, in 2010, and the Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Tianjin University of Technology and Education, Tianjin, China, in 2014. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. Before joining the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Sokoine University of Agriculture as an Assistant Lecturer, he was with Mzinga Corporation as a Mechanical Engineering, and MANTRAC Tanzania Ltd as a Trainee Field Service Engineer. He has published five technical papers. His current research interests include data driven based algorithms for fault diagnosis and prognosis of mechanical systems. He is a member of Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and Institution of Engineers Tanzania (IET).
